What the authors reported
A larger fall in pain in the palmitoylethanolamide group than in the ibuprofen group (P = .0001), and a larger gain in mouth opening (P = .022).
Limits of this study
24 patients and 14 days. The comparison was with ibuprofen, and there was no placebo group. Adverse events, limitations and funding were not visible on the page checked.
