What the authors reported
Clinical trials of several formulations are described in diabetic neuropathy, chemotherapy-related neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica-type pain and jaw joint pain, with safety and tolerability rated high. The authors call for clinical studies of the newer related compounds in people and in animals.
Limits of this study
A narrative review. The page checked gave no study counts or patient numbers, and funding was not visible. One author, Cuzzocrea, declares he is a co-inventor on patents with Epitech Group, which he states are unrelated to the review; the other authors declared no conflict.
