What the authors reported
Palmitoylethanolamide was isolated from Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. In cell culture it reduced proliferation and wound closure of both breast cancer lines, altered nuclear morphology, raised P21, P53, BAX, CASPASE-8, FADD and active caspase-3, and lowered BCL-2.
Limits of this study
A cell-line study; it cannot show effect in people or animals treated in practice. Doses are not in the abstract. Funding and conflicts not stated in the abstract.
