Lameness resolved in all four horses, the authors reported, and the horses returned to showjumping competition without recurrence during the report period.
Limits of this study
Four horses and no control group. Lameness can change with rest and time, and the report cannot separate those effects from the supplement. Assessors were not blinded. The FEI lists palmitoylethanolamide as a Controlled Medication, which matters for any horse that competes. See Status and Rules.
