What was measured
What treatments help long COVID symptoms lasting at least 12 weeks: a systematic review of randomised or clinical trials, including palmitoylethanolamide for smell loss.

What the authors reported

Only two intervention studies met the criteria. One RCT reported greater improvement in post-COVID olfactory dysfunction with olfactory rehabilitation plus oral palmitoylethanolamide and luteolin. The other reported a positive effect of aromatherapy on fatigue in women. The authors say more intervention studies are needed.

Limits of this study

A systematic review with only two included studies and no pooled analysis. The authors declare no conflict of interest.
