The review covers Serenoa repens, Pygeum, Urtica, lycopene, selenium, pollen extract, beta-sitosterol and polyphenols. It describes palmitoylethanolamide in one sentence as an endogenous fatty acid amide with anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects that the authors say can have a role in chronic pelvic pain syndrome and chronic urological pain. No PEA trial data are given.
